2. Scope and app functions

This policy covers the Price Calculator Android app, Android package com.animadev.calcoloprezzi. The app requires no registration, creates no user account, offers no purchases, contains no advertising, and neither monetises nor sells data.

Price Calculator is a utility for price, percentage, VAT and margin calculations. It includes a mathematical loan simulation for information only: it does not offer financial services, grant loans, connect users with lenders or provide personalised financial advice.

3. Locally stored data

The app stores a small number of preferences only on the device, in the app’s local storage, for operation and personalisation:

• language;
• theme;
• displayed currency;
• onboarding status;
• consent status for statistics.

These preferences are not sent to AnimaDev. They remain on the device and can be removed by clearing the app’s data in Android settings or uninstalling the app.

4. Optional statistics and consent

Google Analytics for Firebase is integrated into the app as its only Analytics service, but collection is disabled by default. A choice screen with no preselected option is always shown before the Home screen. Analytics is enabled only after explicit consent; the unknown and denied states keep collection disabled, and the mere presence of the SDK does not result in collection before consent. The app and every calculator remain fully usable after refusal.

The choice can be changed in Settings. After withdrawal, no new events are collected until the user grants consent again. The ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization consent states always remain denied, including when optional statistics are authorised.

The Advertising ID, Google Signals and advertising personalisation are disabled, and Google Ads is not linked. The app sets no User ID or user properties and provides Google with no user-provided data for advertising. Granular city and device-detail reporting is disabled in the available settings. Crashlytics, AdMob and advertising are not present.

5. Data processed after consent

Standard automatically collected events

After consent, the SDK may automatically generate standard events such as first_open (first launch), session_start (start of a session), screen_view (view of a screen) and user_engagement (engagement while the app is in the foreground). Google Analytics may automatically associate event parameters needed for reporting.

Limited technical information

These parameters may include the app version, technical screen class or identifier, engagement duration or time, session information, language and platform, a pseudonymous app-instance identifier, approximate country derivable from the IP address, and general technical information about the device and operating system needed for the service. This data is not completely anonymous: it is pseudonymous or associated with a random installation identifier.

Custom events and parameter

The app sends only three custom events. calculator_opened means that a calculator was opened; calculate_pressed means that the calculation command was explicitly pressed, even if validation fails; calculation_completed means that a valid result was produced. Each custom event contains exclusively the calculator_id parameter, which identifies only the calculator type, with one of these values:

• discount_price, discount_percentage;
• vat_remove, vat_add, vat_rate;
• markup, margin, unit_price, sale_price;
• consecutive_percentages, loan.

These technical identifiers contain neither typed values nor results.

6. Approximate country

Google may derive the country approximately from the IP address while providing the service. The app does not request Android location permission, access GPS or collect precise location. Granular city collection is disabled in the available settings.

VPNs, corporate networks and network operators can make the country inaccurate. AnimaDev views aggregated statistics by country only. This description does not mean that Google never processes the IP address during technical transmission and processing.

7. Data excluded from custom events

AnimaDev does not include the following in the app’s three custom events:

• prices, amounts, results, percentages, VAT rates, margins, mark-ups, quantities, units, selected currency or currency symbols;
• entered values, error messages or validation messages;
• loan information, including principal, rate, term, number of instalments, calculated instalment and entered dates;
• free text, email or other contact details, photographs, files or GPS location.

These exclusions concern the three custom events and do not remove the SDK’s automatic processing of the technical information described above. Advertising ID collection is also disabled in the configuration.

8. Purposes

Optional statistics are used solely to understand how often the app is used, measure general feature use, understand which calculators are opened and how often a calculation is requested and completed, improve usability, stability and development priorities, and assess general interest in the app.

They are not used for advertising, commercial profiling, remarketing, sale of data, automated decisions, granting credit or financial assessment of users.

9. Legal basis and consent

For users subject to the GDPR, consent is the legal basis for Firebase Analytics. Consent is optional, specific to statistics and separate from simply viewing the Privacy Policy: reading the policy does not mean accepting it, and acceptance is not a condition for using the app.

No option is preselected and refusal does not restrict the calculators. The choice is stored locally on the device and can be changed in Settings. Withdrawal blocks future collection until consent is granted again, but does not automatically delete data already transmitted or aggregated. Privacy requests can be sent to animadev.apps@gmail.com.

10. Recipients and providers

When Analytics is authorised, data is processed through Google Analytics for Firebase. Depending on the user’s country and the applicable terms, the service is provided by Google Ireland Limited and/or the relevant Google entity. Google may use affiliated companies, subprocessors and international infrastructure. AnimaDev does not directly control every server used by Google and cannot state that Google can never access the data.

11. International transfers

Google may process data outside the user’s country and outside the European Economic Area, including through infrastructure and subprocessors. In that case, processing is subject to the available safeguards and contractual instruments provided for in Google’s terms and applicable law. The actual location of infrastructure may vary, and no absolute guarantee is given that data will remain in one country.

12. Retention

Event and user data retention for the Analytics property is set to 14 months, and the option to reset the period on new activity is disabled. This does not mean every item of data is deleted exactly after 14 months: aggregated reports or data Google must retain for applicable obligations or operation of the service may remain available for longer.

Local preferences remain on the device until app data is cleared or the app is uninstalled. Emails voluntarily sent to support are retained for as long as needed to handle the request and applicable obligations.

13. Rights and requests

Where provided by applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection, withdraw consent and lodge a complaint with the competent authority.

The app creates no account, and AnimaDev does not directly collect a name or email through the app. Analytics data is associated with pseudonymous identifiers; the absence of identifiers directly linked to a person may make it difficult to locate a specific installation. Technically impossible deletion is therefore not promised, but every request will still be assessed when sent to animadev.apps@gmail.com.

14. Children

The app is a general utility for price, percentage, VAT, margin and simulation calculations. It is not designed or promoted specifically for children, does not create profiles of children and does not knowingly collect personal data provided by children. A parent or guardian may contact AnimaDev with concerns.

15. Security

Measures include data minimisation, protections and encrypted channels provided by the platforms and Google, and restricted access to the project console. No system is entirely risk-free. Users should avoid emailing sensitive information to support unless it is necessary for the request.

16. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated because of app changes, new regulatory requirements or changes to services used. Material changes will be communicated in the app where appropriate. The last updated date is always shown at the start of this document.

17. Privacy of this website

This static website, which is separate from the app, uses no cookies, Firebase, Google Analytics, trackers, advertising, forms, browser-local storage, remote scripts, remote fonts, remote images or CDN, and records no data directly. When an email link is selected, the user’s email client handles sending. GitHub Pages and network infrastructure may nevertheless process ordinary technical data needed to deliver the site under their respective policies.
